As a practical guideline, allow approximately 75 to 90 cm of free space between the edge of the table and a wall or piece of furniture. If there is a walkway behind the chair, 100 to 120 cm is often more comfortable. These are guidelines: wide chairs, armrests, and angled legs sometimes require more. Therefore, also compare the dimensions of the dining chairs you choose to go with it.

Which table shape is suitable?
